  1. Have fun, and enjoy the football madness! Lovely image, as always. The horns in particular are quite nice...

  3. Tavarua-

On a recent 50 minute podcast I made with THE SKIRTED ROUNDTABLE, I spoke about traveling alone, to Paris, to India (often), and to Russian and Brazil.I noted that I have friends in those locations--but if I did not, or if I were heading to a new city, I would contact an art curator or an art gallery or a fashion designer and make an appointment to visit. Instant friend and expert.
I had an overwhelming response to this particular piece of a detailed 50 minute podcast, which delved into design and books and education and blogger plagiarism. It was the 'traveling alone' that struck a chord. Many readers said 'I've always wanted to travel alone and now you've given me courage to do it' or " I have been too afraid to travel by myself and now you have inspired me and I'm booked to go to...x y and z'...
Traveling alone is the world's greatest luxury. To fully and whole-heartedly and with no distraction encounter places unknown, make new friends, leap into unexpected pleasures and passions is surely living well. I love seeing my friends when I travel--and I love heading off into the Rajasthan countryside, alone, with a driver, to see an historic place or find a gypsy encampment or discover a remote town with historic havelis and spectacular architecture and culture. I'm planning new places for future pleasure.
Tavarua--happy days and peace and contentment with your glorious art and collage and photography. cheers, DIANE
