It was an early morning - just before sunrise - as always - sounds and smells of Africa... warming your heart - some coffee and biltong to let your body warm up to a new amazing day in life...

"Whereas the tourist generally hurries back home after at the end of a few weeks or months, the traveler, belonging no more to one place than to the next, moves slowly, over periods of years, from one part of the earth to another." - Paul Bowles
Wonderful images, thank you for posting them. As per Capstick, I read most of his books as a young man. I always factored in the use of "literary license" in his work. His handling of the baboons does seem like over reacting, but then again it was a different time and place and I wasn't there.

Lovely! SO luminous. There's nothing like that serene slanting light at the beginning and the end of the day!
