Paul de Vos (1590? - 1678) - Flemish Painter

"Game and Lobster"

Paul de Vos - a life mystery, little is known about his life. It is known that he worked with Rubens and Anthony van Dyck. His work was never signed.

His paintings were much desired by the aristocracy. (Hunting has been an aristocratic recreation since ancient times.)  You find among his work mainly hunting and animal scenes as well as still-life(s).

A great artist which can not be forgotten

"Boars Head"

"The Leopard Hunt"
