“Accept the things to which fate binds you, and love the people with whom fate brings you together, but do so with all your heart.”

“Time is a sort of river of passing events, and strong is its current; no sooner is a thing brought to sight than it is swept by and another takes its place, and this too will be swept away.”

Egypt....

(All Photos in This Post by Tavarua)

When we experience Cairo, Luxor, Aswan, Alexandria and the Nile - we also reflect not just on the history but perhaps on writers such as Lawrence George Durrell (1912 - 1990) - A cosmopolitan who worked as the press attaché to the British in Cairo and then Alexandria - British travel writer, poet and diplomat (he spent several years in the Foreign Service) - He was born in Jalandhar (Jullundur during the British times), India.  The books which gave him his international recognition and come to be his most famous work was the Alexandria Quartet (Justine, Balthazar, Mount Olive and Clea).
Know the world in yourself. Never look for yourself in the world, for this would be to project your illusion.

Our senses serve to affirm, not to know.
