"Whereas the tourist generally hurries back home after at the end of a few weeks or months, the traveler, belonging no more to one place than to the next, moves slowly, over periods of years, from one part of the earth to another." - Paul Bowles

The Throphy Room - Carved Tusks.........
Warthog
Here are a few more tusks brought back to "Under Canvas" ...which is
rather filled with travel memorabilia and full of everything you do not need.
Could you please tell me what country did you purchase the carved warthog tusk depicting the African woman. I found one almost identical.Any idea of its value??
Could you please tell me where did you purchase the carved warthog woman figure. Your photo is the only onethat i have seen. I have one almost identical to her. I have seen warthogs in Kenya, back in 1984. But she does not resemble a Masai because there are no elongated ear lobes. Any idea of its value? Thank you!

ReplyDeletePat,
DeleteThis one was brought back from Senegal years back. Would not value it to much maybe $ 50.00 to $150.00 - nothing special just a little memory.
